Hi everybody,
I should have made contact before as we took delivery of our 180 4 Motion DSG Cali SE at the beginning or March; but we took it to the top left hand corner of Scotland to try it out and stayed longer than we planned. We're back home at the moment to tydy up the garden and then we should be off again with no definite plans about where.
We loved out old T2 Holdswoth conversion but the Cali really has won us over - it goes where you point it and actually accelerates when you need to overtake.
Many thanks to everyone who posted advice about dislodging alloy wheels. I had to change one after we drove through some debris on the way North and would have given up if I had not been warned of the difficulty. I know that alloys look good but steel rims are a lot more practical. Can anyone tell me how to get in touch with Benn, the supplier of steel rims and winter tyres?
Looking forward to meeeting some of you on future expeditions.
The picture is at Stoer lighthouse in Sutherland.
