The price is a bit steep - the Outdoor Revolution Rock n Roll mattress is £100 at most shops, and it’s 12cm thick, compared to 7.5cm for the Outwell at £249. But on the positive side, it looks like the Outwell packs smaller.
However we’ve ditched using our self inflating mattress in favour of a couple of 58cm wide Duvalay toppers. Tried them in York last week and they’re a real winner, comfy and convenient. We will still use the Outdoor Revolution mattress for the awning though - it insulates against the ground well.
