Hi all,
Been looking at how to jump start the van today and took off the cover where you connect the positive jump lead and noticed what looks like a 300 amp fuse?? that looks like it has a securing nut missing (arrow pointing to it).
Any ideas please?
Could anyone have a look at theirs and see if it is the same maybe?
Dont appear to have any faults with the van and looking how this thing is connected, it doesnt appear to be doing much, especially to be rated at 300A.
Many thanks.

There is no connection on a GC on that 300A fuse, ignore the little wire I’ve attached to mine, it’s for monitoring. The jump start +ve is behind the battery under the plastic cover. It’s shrouded in a red shroud.

just for completeness - the jump start is connected to the starter battery - that 300A fuse is connected to the leisure battery. You can’t jump start from the leisure battery.

Hi Gordon,
Many thanks for your prompt reply and going to the trouble of taking a photo.
And yep, I had figured out the jump lead connection under the red flip up cap, sorry, I didnt explain myself very well in the post, the earth connection being on the other side of the van.
It was just the worry that I thought maybe a nut was missing off that fuse thing on the leisure battery, but as yours seems to be the same, that answers the question.
Cheers and funky looking van.
