Mine came without several items such as EHU cable, goose neck lamp, door bins and sliding door fly screens.

The weirdest one though is an engine cover. I see the lugs where it would fit but the engine is exposed.

I have searched the internet and found that there were binned on TSI Tiguans 3 years ago due to a potential fire hazard but it just looks weird.

Anyone able to have a look under the bonnet and confirm whether they have one please?

I can't speak to the T7, but when we purchased a brand new factory ordered T6 Cali Ocean back in 2019, it included 2 door bins, 2 fly-screens for the sliding windows (not the door) and a few others bits; it did not include an EHU cable nor the engine cover. I sold my T6 (instant regret) in 2020 and just bought another one earlier this year and this didn't come with an engine cover either, so I bought a new one from VW parts department.

Hopefully VW help you out.

Cheers.

Do you have an Ocean?
Gooseneck lamp is for the Beach as it doesn’t have the built in lights in the roof.
Fly screens are a more complex request - I pointed out to my dealer that the VW catalogue implies that they are included although when I checked my invoice the build spec didn’t include fly screens. Probably worth checking your build spec and searching the forum threads on T7 fly screens.
Mine doesn’t have a cover on the engine either, I know on some engines it can make the cabin quieter but the TSI seems pretty quiet.
Are you sure you don’t have the door bins, they are very small black with a sprung lid, they maybe in the glove box along with the end caps for the awning brackets.
Also worth checking you’ve got your roof tie down strap in case of emergencies and the front door flyscreens.
The EHU cable is an optional extra.

EHU cable isn't parr of the offering and would need to be purchased separately.
There was a post in another thread that the MY2026 build T7 Ocean comes with the fly screens so fingers crossed when mine comes at the end of the month

Cables are listed in the brochure as are fly screens, door bins and a goose neck lamp. The lady at VW UK has confirmed so.

Having said that they have gone very quiet on me.

A new but annoying ‘feature’.

We are trying the van out on a site close(ish) to home, ran the heater for about an hour and all good. Tried again this morning and heat has been halted by an error message, something to do with emissions exceeded and I had to drive over 5kmph to reset.
This worked and we have had about another hour of heat before the same message.

The other campers are starting to view me as the weird guy who drives to the shower block.

Is there a more simple reset method than this?

There are 2 heating modes.
Heat Immediate controlled by the Remote.
Heat Continious via the Control Panel.
Which one did you use?

I’ve tried both, both tripped. Used both the panel and remote.

Heater issue solved, there was a rug blocking the vent which caused an emissions error. Phew!

However, on the drive home a new rattle started above my head, put the roof back up and found a metal pin and circlip rolling about in rage rail. Not obvious where it’s from.

Oh, and the driver seat has started creaking on left hand bends, hoping the dealer doesn’t blame my fat arse.

Fly screens and lamp arrived, door bins to follow.
