It is flat on top of the sensor. If it is a sensor. I dont think it is a microphone.

Can you take a macro shot of the 2 ends?
One side is an electric plug, the other side, I can't see on the picture.

First thoughts were a microphone, then looked again and
thought there was also a brown wire.

Realised it is a woo hoo ing shadow

Started on the old vino at 5 today seeing its a holiday tomorrow.
Last guess is a parking sensor.

Might be from some kind of interior alarm. Just ignore it, you won't need it.

The black tissue, is that soft, can you poke in it? Or is it hard?

Yes it is soft but hard under it.
