I’m taking delivery of my Beach Camper next week and having some issues getting insurance. Was through Caravan & Motorhome with my Ocean, and called them today. They were only able to provide one quote (AXA) as all their other providers rejected it. And the price was a lot higher than for my previous Ocean.
Has anyone else taken out insurance for a new Beach Camper in the UK? I’m guessing a few will be this week so interested to hear people’s quotes.

I had difficulties because I the Beach is my only vehicle and needs to be used for work as well (I work from home and also (used to!) visit clients etc typically in office parks etc. So, nothing out of the ordinary, or so I thought. Most insurers mentioned by others on the Forum would not cover business use. I eventually got business and leisure use cover at a "reasonable" level from NFU, at a quote of a third of some of the alternatives. NFU were good to deal with and I have stayed with them, now in year 3.

Thanks for the info.
I was particularly interested in the new Beach Camper as it has a gas hob, and is classed by DVLA as a motorhome / caravan. But the demands of the insurance company were bed (tick), cooking facilities (tick) and built in water storage (nope).

Ours is a T6 Beach but we got camper insurance from Safeguard no problem.

We use admiral multi car for our T6, covers my business mileage and some subtle mods too.

I used admiral for years as they give you business use and may not be a strict with the Motorhome tick box.
With safeguard now a little cheaper (not much) and don’t need business use anymore.

I have been looking at insurance quotes and found a T6.1 ocean half the price to insure than a T6.1 Beach. The only thing i can think of is as its only just be released as T6.1 insurance companies are not up to speed with the vehicle spec.

I wonder if I will even get a quote for my 204..4 motion when it arrives in April if the engine data is still being withheld

If it's withheld then it won't be registered.

Ah yes good point.....so it will have to be on the registration document...forgot about that...still tricky to get advanced quote until at least one vehicle has been registered

Try justkampers

One of my comments from another thread:
I was quoted £735 including breakdown insurance for the California, so decided to seek quotes without breakdown cover and source that separately. These are what I got:
Camping and Caravan Club (Vantage insurance services) £1078
Advance Insurance Services (camper specialist) £735
NFU Mutual £609
Adrian Flux (have two other vehicles insured) £404
AIB £339
LV online £282
Just Kampers (recommended here by some) never returned my call.

Just insured my California with camping and caravan club for £275.00 fully comp with protected no claims.

Thank you.
I am particularly looking for T6.1 Beach Camper models in UK.

Hi Alison. Commenting mainly so I can keep track of this thread as hoping to be in the same position of you in a month or so’s time.

I did get a call from Just Kampers insurance today to complete a quote, but the person who called me then just put me in a queue to speak to someone else... and I soon gave up!

My AIB policy was £280.
No tracker, protected NCB, legal protection, cover for habitation area, contents cover, vehicle £55k. Was not quite the lowest but offered more protection.

Just been thinking has anyone taken delivery of a Cali that has got the new 204 engine fitted, I was thinking that getting an insurance quote might be difficult as there is no engine performance data yet.

I went through the Camping and Motorhome club. Which leads you to Devitt etc... and I was then told that they had several underwriters who refused my policy, and was left with AXA - the only one who accepted. Which, giving my background, age, job status, mileage, lack of claims... was a load of
