Attempted Sun Canopy Theft

Hello all

Just a warning to everyone, I had a California returned today, that someone had tried to steal the sun canopy in the middle of last night. It was parked on a driveway in Horsham! The renter heard a noise at approx 4am and didn't think anything more of it, until he brought the camper back to me this morning.

Luckily the brackets that hold it on are soft aluminium, and the securing bolts have pulled straight through. It looks as if they have tried to lever it off, not realising that there are a further 6 securing bolts holding the bcrackets onto the body.

I've spoken to Steve at SMG and he has ordered the brackets for tomorrow am (this is the campervan im taking to Lake tomorrow lunchtime - timing eh)

Be careful where you are parking your California! Let hope this is a one off!!

Yes I saw the RS3. Unbelievable that they pulled the seats through the window!

Not sun canopy but someone pinched all our straps on our bike rack a few weeks ago while in Cornwall
