In anticipation of the sun coming up again any month now, I was considering fitting solar PV to the top of our Cali if it can be thin enough not to go over the critical 2m height.... I have had a look at the autohausvw website and wondered if anyone had any experience or advice on this option? I will not be doing anything until VW have fixed the roof paint blister issue on our van, but as it is coming up to 3 y old and then out of warranty.......

cheers :help

I've got a 100w one of these to fit to the Cali sometime.

We used one on the old Bongo for a couple of years without any problems and found that it was charging a bit even on dull days.
Only about 6mm thick so the height isn't a problem. Stuck down with Sikaflex after slight roughening the paint on the roof to give the adhesive some purchase.
The Cali roof is ideal with it's ridges as it allows some airflow under the panel to cool it and get rid of any condensation.
