Autosock snow sock sizing

I have a pair of AS685 which were for my previous Cali which had 16” wheels.

My new Cali has 17” wheels, with 215/60 tyres.

Looking at the Autosock website it says I should get the AS695 for my new wheels/tyres.

My question is… does anyone know how much tolerance there is between the two sizes? Anyone with any experience as to whether the AS685s will still work with the new wheels/tyres even though technically not the right size?

I doubt it, if there was sufficient tolerance then the manufacturer would include it in the spec and reduce the number of different sizes they have to manufacture, store, supply etc. And if you need them then you need them - no use to you if they fail in short order even if you can get them on, and no point carrying something you don’t have full confidence will work. Put your set on ebay and swap them out for the right size, not worth the risk for such a small investment.
