Brand new van, opened the awning at home and retracted to test it all worked fine. Got to site put the awning out and 2 days later rolled it away No issues. Got back home and rolled it out to give it a wipe down before stowing again and when rolling it up it starts to crease slightly and then doesnt roll straight back on the roller, each revolution is a mm over from the last. Unrolled to try again several times and same results.

Just wondering if this was normal?

Not normal in my limited experience. To state the obvious it sounds like it’s slightly out of line.
Maybe first try getting somebody to gently hold one side whilst rewinding to retard it enough to straighten it? (Not sure if that’s possible?).
Maybe there’s a way of adjusting that orher members can advise of?

A photo would be helpful. ‘By mm’ could be tiny or big.
Obvious suggestion is that when you wiped it you left something, maybe debris, in it?
Was it still wet?
Mine probably is maybe 10-20mm out over the whole length…
