Basin tap come off!

Hi, this happened the other day, I moved it with barely any force and it came off in my hand. I looked at other threads, one said they just pushed it in hard but this doesn’t seem to want to go on. I can’t work out if something is shorn/worn off or if it can go back on. Anyone had anything similar?

Ours is a 2011 T5.1

Don’t know if it’s the same as ours (2019 T6)
The advise we got and it worked, was place tea towel (or similar) on top , with tap in place and give it a good hit.
If ours comes off ,I can now just give it a hit (in place) with the palm of my hand and it ‘clicks’ back in.

Use a G Clamp to push the 2 pieces together. More commonly the spout comes off but they are just very tight push fits.

It clips straight back on.

Ok thanks I’m going to try pushing harder, I felt like it was giving it force but there was no more room for it to clip in but maybe I wasn’t trying hard enough!
