I'm having a problem or two with the fitting of a new bellows by the dealer. The bellows looks wrong on both front top corners and when I lightly press the material half way up the corners "pop" off.

Does anyone have access to the VW instruction sent out to dealers on how to fit a new Bellows? I remember what another technician told me a couple of years ago and I suspect they are not following the instructions when fitting which is causing the problem.

I've searched the site particularly the Download area with the Technical Guides but can't find anything.

Was it done at a California specialist? If you call VWCS they will tell you where your local one is as it means their technicians will of been trained out in Germany

Speak to Nick at Comfortz, he has fitted them, I think there are images in the gallery

When they're fitted they should have sealent/glue placed in certain points - the top two corners being one of the points (or two of the points :D) - maybe either they're not putting it in or not giving it time to set. I used tiger seal and left if for a few days to bond before popping the roof back up :0)

They're definitely not using sealant/glue. Is that an instruction from Volkswagen?

Hi, I just had a new canvas fitted under warranty to my 2017 Cali by a Cali dealer as it was leaking during heavy rain.
I have a couple of concerns: 1: The center front vertical seam is not central at the bottom by about an inch. 2: The bottom seal area immediately beneath one of the side plastic forming strips was not fully home - it looked as if was caught folded up inside the seal groove. It was caught in the groove and therefore not properly seated. (I have been able to coax the seal to be where it should be but still have a concern. 3: Indentation marks on external bottom seal as if drift tool used in non expert way.
Any thoughts? @comfortz - I know you have fitted a canvas yourself so would be grateful for any tips/comments. Are my concerns justified? Photos follow.

Nick @Everything VW California are you able to add anything?
Nick, @comfortz, Sorry to chase a little but I would really value your comments. Thanks in advance.

Hi
I had a new roof and bellows fitted and they are not correct. See images with my internal reference points being the front lower curved edges and zip seam locations. My dealer state they are in tolerance . Can @comfortz advise?
