Bikers

I have towed an R9t, KTM 250 EXCF and an RD350LC and it is happy with any of them. The R9t is at the upper end on weight for the trailer I would say.
Well the Vespa is only 165kg so should be ok

Just spotted this thread. Looking fwd to getting this bad boy back on its rear wheel where it belongs.

What a fantastic thread. Currently in my garage is an original 1992 Fireblade (although I must admit I hardly ever ride it). Preceded by Triumph Speed Triple, and a succession of Yamaha R1’s (‘99, ‘01, ‘04 and ‘07 versions). My iPhone photo library doesn't go back that far unfortunately. But its obvious where the personal plate on the Cali started out :):Stig

Nice and I know the back drop very well. Spent quite a few years and 1000s of km rowing up and down that river.
After a decade or so off bikes, I ended up with this after my dad passed last year. Should've sold it really, but stuck it in the van and took it home to Spain and registered it here. Glad I did, it's been a fun journey!

Love the Blade.

My Brother found a sound recording on mine way back in late 92 or early 93 starting. Crumbs it was loud with the race pipe.

Thanks a lot

The great thing about the Motolug trailer is that me and my wife can break the trailer up in 10 minutes. The parts will fit in the trunk of a VW Golf, major selling point as far as i am concerned. We took the bike to the Pyrenees, stowed the trailer in the back of the VW, pitched our tent and started driving through the mountains. Maximum versatility. Our storage space is small but the trailer parts fit perfectly.

Sorry for your loss. Did you inherit the bike from your dad?

Thought about selling mine as have not ridden much over the last year. spoke to my brother about my thoughts and he advised that I give myself a slap and to never have those thoughts again

Here’s my Tricolore and Claire’s first bike (Monster 696) safely tethered to my Edition 25 Caravelle on a camping trip to Squires Cafe near Sherburn-in-Elmet92F645B3-751E-4A15-B4C5-B62A97D0AE59.jpeg

That blade should be in a museum as there can’t be many left after all the born again bikes got them and threw them down the road!

I have had many bikes over the years but down to only 4 at the moment lol.

My lovely little Honda NC30, a KTM EXC 200 Enduro bike and my two current favourites my classic racing Bultaco's one a 200 and the other a 250.

Returned to racing after I retired from work in 2014 after not racing for 25 years, what could possibly go wrong?

Here is my favourite, the 1966 250 Bultaco I built in 2018 picture taken at Pembrey race circuit, looking forward to getting back to racing this year with our first meeting at Mallory on 8/9 May.

True - you don't see many 92’s on the road these days. This is another reason why I hardly ride it, if I crashed it I’d never forgive myself.

@GrahamB @4x4 joker , if i recall mine was a ‘92 also . See post #9 page one
imo these look ace with the two round lights , did not like the follow up look .
Looks like the ‘92 alternate colour scheme. Actually MY93 but they were available in late 1992. Funny how those shell suit graphics seemed sooo cool back then. The blade was a design masterpiece - a huge step forward and blew everything else into the weeds (until the R1 was born in ‘98)

I was offered an white version but waited for the second batch to come into the country for the black colour scheme. Picked it up in May 92. Went from a KLE500 to CBR900. Did 21000 miles on that bike in 16months before it was stolen. It was like a limb extension to me and I could place it peferectly on the road, wet or dry.
