Brilliant Brexit Briton discovers a whole new land south of the South Pole! Could this hitherto unknown land be the perfect post-Brexit trading partner?

Ok, you've lost me! What has this article got to do with brexit........or VW California's for that matter?

Or is this a new thread to see who can devise the most tenuous link to something completely un-related ?

The only link with Brexit is that the article about a Briton finding land south of the south pole was published on Brexit day (see date bottom left).

And in case anyone still hasn't got it, it is impossible to travel south of the south pole, unless someone has discovered hidden properties of a hitherto undiscovered higher dimension.

I’m sure Boris the Turk will discover this and announce a free trade deal, another fantasy to distract everyone from the real issues.

And there was me thinking that this thread had gone south. I'm out.

Me too. Leave it to the Non - Accepters.

North and south are absolute, east and west are relative. Simple.

I'm not convinced that it true if you are at the South Pole? Surely the only direction is north... East and west vanish.
There is no east or west pole. The poles are a singularity. The moment you step away from the north or south poles, east and west re-materialises.

I'm trying to get my head around this.

Is east and west relative if they can simply disappear?

Or maybe east and west don't disappear at the South Pole, only their properties alter, and instead of being a direction they become a clockwise or anti clockwise twist, the twist being the reverse at the North Pole.

The geographic South Pole, the magnetic South Pole or the South Pole of rotation?
;)

Can’t wait ‘til we all start camping again and these nonsense posts stop.
