Broken sliding table bracket - repair ideas?

Hi all, we have just broken the table clip in our 8 year old SE. It happened once before and I recall VW had to replace the whole table under warranty.

Wondering if anyone has managed to repair this bracket? I have seen mention of gorilla glue on other posts - is that workable?

I think it’s over £350 to replace so would prefer to try a repair first.

Interior table - a fix

For all those owners whose plastic hinge underneath the table has disintegrated - here is a fix. A length of threaded rod, some nuts, two female barrel bolt parts and a rivet gun.

But be ultra careful when drilling the rivet holes or you could go straight through. It may be worth trying building up the broken part with epoxy resin then using a small round file to form a hole. Anything is worth a try.

Yes thank you that’s helpful. I wouldn’t really know where to start with riveting so I’ll try a repair with glue etc first.
