Hello, I am a lucky owner of a California Exclusive, and I live in London.

The combination is a bit unfortunate because the California is from 1996, and on the V5C, there is no information about the euro standard, and the weight is set to 2800 kg. That means that you need to pay LEZ charge of £100 a day to drive it around. My plan is not to use it every day, but it is painful to pay £100 just to get in and out of the city.

I have 2 questions:
- if you live in London, did you manage get an exemption? if yes, how did you do it?
- on your V5C or equivalent, what is the mass and the euro standard for the vehicle?

And, to try my luck, do you have any contact with someone who works at VW in the homologation department? :bananadance2
TFL says that if I can get a letter from someone working there, I might be good to go

It’s Euro 4 at the most.

Maybe time for a diesel to LPG conversion.

Thanks for the replies.

I know that the latest models were all made euro 3 compliant. But it might be hard to prove.

Genuine Q - Made Euro 3 compliant by who?
