Last year on the T4 2.5 tdi, invoice not to hand but about £450
Ron.

Cheers Ron was that a VW dealer :?:

Make sure you replace the coolant pump, as a routine, when replacing cambelt

On your van Kev it would be £335 + VAT without a water pump and £425 + VAT with a water pump.

cheers

Thought I better have a look in my service schedule book to see when my cambelt is due to be changed so I can save my pennies! It says 140,000 miles (2010 T5)- but no mention of time interval.

Is that right Alex?

Cheers

Stephen

I would recommend a four year interval or the mileage whichever comes first as it is rubber and a perishable part.

Thanks

£299 - for belt and water pump - not at a dealer. That was on the 2.0 tdi 140 engine, not sure if it varies. I was quoted £399 by VW dealer for belt only.

Think I paid about £320 on T5.1 140. Anything over £400 is expensive, £620 is borderline daylight robbery!

I paid £445+vat for Cambelt and water pump a year ago. VW van centre.

Always get the water pump done at the same time
