Which is the best forum for finding out information about caravans?
Thinking of buying a 2nd hand one and leaving it down Cornwall for the next 10 years.
Will serve the 3 family’s for Cornish holidays with grandkids for the next 10 to 12 years.
TIA

+1 for Caravan Talk.

When we had our caravans ten years or so ago, I was a regular reader and contributor to Caravan Talk.

At the time it had a very active community and there was a wealth of useful info on there, with sections for each of the major manufacturers as well.

Swift and Bailey (and possibly others) used to monitor the forums and provide replies. Not sure if this is still the case.

Worth having a look and see what you think.

lol, yep, Jeza loves to smash em up.
I’m defo not a tugga, but to take one down Cornwall and leave it down there seams like a no brainer.
Then whenever the kids want to take their kids down, it’s pulled off out of storage and popped on a pitch for them.

Why not go for a 2nd hand static on a decent site?

Sounds like a good idea. Can't help too much on info but as I'm in Cornwall I could hook you up with someone decent that does caravan storage when you're ready.

This VWCaliforniaclub forum?
Or this CaravanTalk forum ?

Cali fits its purpose for my wife and I.

Most of our longer uk family holidays are in South West.

Need more family space when away for two plus weeks (Family of five)

Also felt a bit more comfort and luxury when away for extended periods.

Options:

Exchange Cali for:
Motorhome
Caravan & Car

Keep Cali and purchase caravan..

After many machinations decided….

*Retro fitted tow-bar (Swansway Birmingham)

*Attended Caravan & Motorhome Towing Course (Excellent)

*Reserved storage pitch in Devon (Ramslade) - live in Midlands

*Purchased two birth (Coachman)

Family visits - Cali and Caravan in use

We believe this is the ideal combination for us!

Tumbleweed moment…

What about a 2nd hand Opus trailer tent

(2 double beds and a seating area.)
