Cheap windbreak

Hi, so I’ve been reluctant to buy a windbreak as I’m not to sure I would use it but today I was in Lidl and saw one for £14.99 and a decent size, 5m x 1.4m so I bit the bullet. Also very compact when not in use so won’t take up too much valuable storage space. I was supprised that you don’t knock the poles into the ground (is that only beach windbreaks from the 70s and 80s) but was very easy to fit by myself even though the instructions say it’s a 2 person job. Only tricky bit was working out how to use the guy ropes but 1 YouTube video sorted that out. A couple of pics of it erected in the garden.

looks good, though, From a practicality point of view, don't think you will use it at a campsite. I would not, with guy ropes sticking out on both sides it will take up a lot of real estate. I prefer the peg in beach type. We have an old one and you just use a mallet to push it in and within a few mins, the windbreak is in place.

You will struggle to put that up on your own in strong winds. Ditched mine

Yeah I don’t think I’d attempt it by myself if it was windy
