Colour coded canopy

Looks really good.

Our blue and black California had a light canopy fitted and having looked at the cost of replacing with a black one I took the plunge and wrapped in a gloss carbon fibre effect wrap. Haven’t done it before and it needed patience but it gave myself plenty of time. The canopy is easily removed with the two torx screws so I brought it indoors which made the job so much easier.

The materials only cost about £45 and I primed and sprayed the end caps but will buy the black replacements if these wear badly and get chipped.
Pleased with the effect - didn’t want it looking too “blingy” and the carbon fibre effect blends in well.

Well worth the effort! Fully recommended.

good job i did mine a few years ago but had to have a join as the vinyl was not wide enough.

Cheers - learnt the hard way how the foil wrap rips if too cold!
Managed to find a supplier on eBay who supplies longer lengths in strips 0.75m width which was ideal and gave me enough to scrap one of the required strips.
