We have just got a beach, 3 seater. Instrutcions not entirely clear on how to convert the rear seats into a bed. We do not have any additional seats. Can anyone help?!

Don't kneel on the leading edge of the seat while you're trying to convert it....during conversion the seat base (the bit you sit on) raises up and towards you.

Does that help?

Remove headrests.

Pull handle in the centre towards you - the back should fall forward

Now pull the lever out on the base, it might be quite difficult at first but once out you will be able to slide the seat forward.

Once it's come forward, take the handle in the centre of the the sea, pull out and push the back of the seat and it should go back and the base up - thus forming the bed

It's a knack to know how far forward it has to come so that when it is turned into a bed it fits perfectly with the board at the back.

Hopes this helps.

OP did you get it working?

There is a knack to it and as James said getting remembering to position the multiflex board in the boot and rearranging the contents if it's full are necessary. It's also worth marking the position of the seat so that when it folds flat it aligns perfectly with the board. Then of course you need to put down the comfy stuff over the top (a pair of inflatable mats for us) and if like us you do this before the kids go to bed, AND you have the cool/warm box in the cabin, don't leave the booze in it as the flattened bed stops you getting in the fridge

If you turn the cool box round, so it looks to be the wrong way you can access it with the bed down :)

I did wonder about that James. Only problem with that is when we're driving the kids stretch their legs on the fridge and nudge the buttons either turning the fridge off or worse still, sticking it on warm - arghhhhh!

The compromises of a Beach eh... :crazy

I may start sticking it in the boot sans mount rack when we go camping as there's enough other junk in their to wedge it in partially under the flex board and it does grip the floor reasonably well.

Yes - and when it's on warm - it's very warm lol.
