Coverage for overseas residents

We are Canadian citizens and have a (left hand drive) UK registered California T5. We have secured insurance through Down Under insurance as that seems to be the only company that would insure us as we are not permanent UK residents.

Does anyone know of another company that may help us secure cheaper coverage. We are both over 55 years old with excellent driving records>

A problem I have heard many times, insurance co is taking advantage as there can be no justification for much higher premiums.... After all looks like the only thing they may lose is your excess if you had a prang and skipped the country....
