Cracked Tyres

I've just noticed some slight cracking on the Original Dunlop Sport Maxx TT tyres on the front of my Cali.

The van is about 7 months old and had done 6000 miles.

Here's a pic.

I checked the pressures a few months ago for the first time and they were a bit low - typically about 35psi so I pumped them back up to 43. Checking them today they've held their pressure.

I've run the same tyres on my car for years and never seen this before.

What do you think - should this be happening and is it cause for concern?

I've not seen tyres of that age have cracks like that .. Not even cheap tyres.
I think it's worth an ask at a garage and the dealership

Check the date stamp on the sidewall, there is a panel with a 4 digit code, this denotes the week and year they were made.

The recommendation is that tyres are replaced regardless of wear after 6 years, obviously if your tyres are only 7 months old, you should contact the manufacturer.

I think I'd whip that straight back to the dealer ASAP.

Not because I think they are dangerous but these things are time limited outside of the normal warranty.
