I have a T6 25 k on the clock was running sweet as,and then literally just died.No warning lights nothing.Came home parked it up went to lock it ..and wouldn’t lock. The battery is fine.It will start ,run for second or two ,literally, then die.Nothing works on it ,except the interior lights. It won’t lock on the fob no dash lights at all.Local garage came out plugged a computer in and it was not giving any readings to that .Anybody had this before? Thank you.

Could you try to force a system reset by disconnecting the battery I wonder?

That sounds like a main fuse gone somewhere. I believe the big ones ar under the battery under the bonnet. There is a fuse list on here i would download and check . The engine won't run without 12v to the run solenoid. Also check the cables in and out of the fuse box are tight and not corroded.Loz may be worth a mention

Could be an earth connection problem.
It will be a case of taking out the battery, open the Ebox below, checking the main fuses and the earth lead from the battery to the chassis.
Also, check the earth strap at the cambelt end of the engine that links the chassis to the engine.
Also, if it runs then immediately stops, then that is the immobiliser, so if the dash does not light up then the fuse for that might be gone as that contains the immobiliser.
Dash fuse is in the fuse box under the gear lever.

Loz thank you for your help.To update you the fault was due to poor wiring when Leighton Vans did an Interior lining package..with usb and touch led.It was causing a short circuit that had the van to basically shut down.

Loz..thank you for your help and to everyone who replied.By way of an update the fault turned out to be a short circuit in the wiring that Leighton Vans did when I had their interior lining package. They hacked into the fuse wiring under the dash and put some fuses in for a couple of USB ports .VW ended up having to sort it and I have a report from them.Spoke to the mechanic who said it was a pretty shoddy job that had been done.Anyway all sorted but thanks for your help and advice.

yoiu had an ocean interior lined ? i didn't realise you were talking about just a T6 van. glad you sorted it and thanks for the update. not a good ad for leighton vans though eh
