Dealer bodge job

I had my back blind replaced by a dealer. When putting the door back together the dealer completely messed it up. There is a big gap around the trim, so big you can get your hand behind it below the window and a big gap all the way round. They also appear to have not fitted part of the black foam that surrounds the chair compartment. The net effect of this is that large amounts of condensation form behind the poorly fitted panel as warm air has direct access to the cold body panels. This has caused mould to grow on the fabric of the chair compartment.

The van is going into the dealer on Monday. My question is, I think there are bits of insulating foam missing in the chair compartment that they did not put back. Would anyone be able to have a look at theirs and tell me if I’m right, just gives me the certainly of another thing to list to the dealer that I want put right. It would be even more amazing if anyone had time to send me a photo of the interior of the chair compartment so I can include it in my discussion with the dealer

wow. was it another one of those 'master techs ' ? i can't help at the moment but there is certainly a bit missing in the chair bag.

Yes there is a bit missing - it is black polystrene that is fixed with sticky tape In the chair space - it separates the chairs and stops them from rattling.

From what I remember looking into the chair space, you can only see foam at the top, so the space is sealed, now in the picture you can see a gap at the top in the foam, might be that the gap is the gap in the trim fit or they have missed a bit out at the top.

I have the teeniest tiniest nick in my blind and asked for a quote which was eye watering! Seeing your experience I shall leave well alone. It works and if it ain’t bust don’t fix it!!
