Delivery charges?

Hi placed my first order, for bike rack paint protection film stickers:

Did I do something wrong, but there seemed no way to get a cheaper delivery cost than £5.99? For what I ordered this seem expensive for economy UK mainland delivery.

Seems a reasonable cost to me and fairly normal now that businesses are unable to offer free post to maintain their margins.

They are probably just using a flat rate for orders to normalise the cost and not have to pay increased admin to have to workout a seperate cost for every order based on size and weight. Obviosuly when that happens it normalises high for light small items and more cost effective for larger items.

You could have likely got something similar on Amazon with "free" delivery with Prime.

Indeed, I could have ordered elsewhere but followed the earlier thread of the testing the team had done in this one. Therefore I was happy to pay the £19.99 for some PPF cut to the right shape.
I would also have ordered an additional 3rd bike support but it was £20 more expensive than elsewhere with free delivery.
I obviously paid it I was just surprised it was so expensive as a minimum postage cost.

Postage cost of Bellows bungee !!

Just decided to order a new bellows bungee as my previous one had lost its elasticity - cost £10.95. Postage £5.99 ! For goodness sake, how can it cost £6 to post a length of elastic attached to a small piece of plastic weighing a few ounces. I can order something from Argos weighing 20+ times...
