Yes it came with the van when new, so vw approved but has no vw branding on it I can see.
20cm tall. 11cm wide at the top, and 7.5cm at the base. It fits in both Drivers and Passenger door pockets. Van is sold now so I cannot look, but from memory there is a couple of raised sections in the door bins at the front to hold it securely in place on a T6 that was case, not sure on the T5. It has a hinged and sprung lid to keep it firmly closed.
