Just having last minute thoughts about taking my daughters to the Dutch GP on the Friday only. Anybody done this?
Was thinking about catching the Eurotunnel Thursday Eve, Camp somewhere for the night, drive to near Zandvoort, watch the Friday practice and drive back towards Calais for a Friday night Camp.

Obviously other than finding somewhere fairly close on the Thursday, my main concern is driving to and parking in Zandvoort on the Friday!

Can anybody provide any advice or done something similar??

We stayed at Holiday park EuroParcs Het Amsterdamse Bos, before driving to Zandvoort for the weekend back in May. It’s near Amsterdam airport but heard very few planes. I wonder what the public transport between the two is like? Might be tempted to stay there the Thursday and Friday nights if it were me, or even return on the Sunday. Harwich to Hook of Holland is the way we went. Can’t comment on camping places in Zandvoort, as we stayed within the circuit.

Wow thanks!

Was actually looking at this campsite a little earlier. It has availability and seems very reasonable at €149 for 3 nights. What was this campsite like??

Also found Q-Park Mehler, a 15 min drive from the campsite where you can park at ride to the circuit for €49.

A ferry crossing from Dover -Calais is coming out at £99. I would have much preferred the tunnel but is a lot more expensive at over £300.

The site was good. We would stay there again.

Don't think too much. Just do it. A great experience.

Personally Not done Zandvoort.

You seem to have figured out camping etc. Be prepared for spending an extra day ( with all that excitement, extending impromptu is very likely :) )

Enjoy and let us know the experience.

Still just a dream at the moment but have figured out that it maybe doable!
I would also like my son to come and typically, he’s been given shifts on Thursday and Saturday which is fairly unusual! I’m hoping he maybe able to swap them.
