Greetings folks. I have just won the auction for this 2007 SE Cali 2.5 TDI 174 automatic with recent roof canvas replacement. I will hopefully be travelling from Ireland to the UK to pay for and collect it early next week. Are there any common issues on this model I need to look out for?

There's a checklist in the downloads section (if you're a VIP member). We have the same engine/gearbox, I'm not aware of any common issues...

A few of us were watching your new Cali on eBay!

There does seem to be some cosmetic issues with the paint and the interior needs a good scrub by the look of it. But that is the cheapest T5 Cali I’ve seen.

Strange you were the only bidder. Anyway, plenty of info on here and as mentioned above there is a checklist available if you subscribe to the forum and become a VIP.

Thank you for all the replies and well wishes folks
I’ve spoken to the the owner and have found out some more information on the van.
Main dealer and independent service history present.
Auto gearbox replaced
Roof control display replaced
Roof canvas replaced
Sliding door replaced due to a minor accident
Camping table has a burn mark
I asked about exhaust fumes through the cab air vents due to the problematic manifold. According to the owner there are none.
I will be travelling from Ireland to the UK to collect it early next week.
