Would it work to use the Ecoflow Microinverter in the GC, connecting it to one of the outlets in the van to power all the outlets in the van? Thinking if this would be an easier way to get power through the outlets then doing the switchover mod.

Not safe!

You would need a lead from the Ecoflow that has a live plug on the end.
The electrical inlet on the side of the van would have live exposed metal.
Far Far safer to use the vans usual hook up lead & just plug it into the Ecoflow

No. You cannot back feed via a live plug. Not only would that plug be hazardous but the inlet plug on the GC would be live.

We do what @andyinluton describes.

I think I may have misinterpreted the question - if you are referring to the Ecoflow ‘Powerstream Microinverter’ used with an Ecoflow Delta or similar to plug into a socket in the GC when not on hookup then no it wont work. It’s a ‘grid-tie’ system so if there is no power already at the 13A outlet then it wont provide any power. It works in the same way inverters in a solar installation do, they will only provide power if there is a power already present. If the supply switches off then they shut down.
