Hello, someone has told me the elevated roof is only really suitable for children, i find this hard to believe ?

Thanks

Brian

Its bigger upstairs than down in the California SE. You have been misinformed.

There are some models of elevated roofs (not the Cali) where they are only suitable for kids. Particularly the side elevating type on T4’s onwards.

Maximum weight upstairs is apparently 150kgms .

Many conversions have a lower load rating for the upper bed.

No it was someone who is trying to convince me buying an Ocean is a waste of money better to build yourself, however i know better my dream is an Ocean

I’ve seen conversions with a roof similar to the Cali, as well as a sprung bed, but not many. When you compare like for like, there is very little in it cost wise and the finish is far superior to conversions (and will still look good after a number of years). The roof bed of the Cali is really comfy and the advantage of sleeping up top (if you are only 1 or 2) means you don’t have to put everything away downstairs.
