Extended Warranties

Has anyone took out one of these extended warranty schemes. Cost around £19-£25 per month. I went somewhere down the line and got calls back extending the warranty period from 12 months to 14 months.
Still waiting for a better offer. My van 6 years old so something could go wrong and if I sell it would be transferable. Interested if anyone has gone down this route made a claim and more important been paid out.
It would also seem you can ask for the work to done at main dealers at an extra nominal cost.

Too many exclusions for me. Put the money in a savings account and if not used then extra pocket money.
That is very, very cheap for an extended warranty so check it out very carefully. The fact that they telephoned you with a better offer is a complete No No as far as I am concerned.
