Fiamma 45s awning bracket doesn't quite fit!

Help. I ordered a Fiamma f45s and bracket for my T6 Cali Beach LHD, but the rear bracket doesn't quite line up. I was told by the supplier that that is because the VW factory holes on my new van must be slightly out of alignment. It was suggested that that happens every now and then! Really frustrating situation having an awning that I can not use. Anyone had similar experience or able to offer advice?

In what way does it not line up? I've just recently fitted one and the instructions left a little to be desired to say the least. The rear bracket is larger than the front one but I don't think they mentioned that, could that be your problem?
