Hi team, we have never been in the Alps in winter. We don't ski and don't intend to learn now, but the idea of spending some time in 'proper snow' does sound fun. Is it possible to just turn up at a campsite in any of the ski resorts or should we have booked months ago? The van is due for new tyres so I am ready to fit Mich CC2's.

Any advice would be very welcome ta :thumb

We are thinking the same. I haven’t been near a ski for 40 years but we love the snow.

Hello again team……… panic over……… I mentioned this to my wife just now and she has informed me that spending time in snow is the LAST thing she wants to do!

Oh well, back to the drawing board :D

Probably for the best. Bourg isn’t the prettiest place and most of the campsites in or near the pretty ski towns close by mid September.
