Flags on VIP and Avatar

It's an automated function which is based upon your IP address and details of your ISP. It will change dependent on where you log in. I am not sure if it is possible but @Calikev may be able to confirm.

I don't think I have ever seen one on my avatar.

Have a look at your privacy settings on https://vwcaliforniaclub.com/account/privacy. There is a check box that you can enable that will limit who sees your flag. I have the checkbox unset, but if you have it set then you might have disabled flags.

Edit: I usually see a flag when I'm in France, but no flag today. Confusing.

Edit2: Enable checkbox and set the drop list to Members and Union flag appears. I guess the forum software does flags based on state rather than country.

Thanks mccp,

Had a look and the relevant box wasn't checked.

As there has been a severe lack of heated debate on this forum recently, maybe we should have a referendum as to whether home nation flags should be available for display.....?? :Nailbiting

Unchecked the box, problem solved.
