Hi My name is Flaminio known as Dino, I have just purchased my first Vw California a 2013 SE DSG 140,. Iam very excited and can’t wait to go camping in it . any advice for a beginner will be appreciated.

Very nice looking van, welcome to the club.

Best advise I can offer is to camp a few times, maybe just overnight, to get a feel for what YOU need to make the van your own, before blowing lots of cash on stuff that others say are essential. It's your van, make it personal and cosy.

Oh, and you will have loads of questions about heating, roofs, storage, etc, so make good use of the search facility on here. If all else fails, do ask.

Yes that’s my plan use the van on days out , then short overnight stays , before hopefully a long European trip next year.
