Hi all. Looking for some inspiration regarding a trip to France in September. Have 12 days (inc. return ferries to Le Harve). Have recently done the west coast, Dordogne, Brittany/Normandy coats and Loire areas. Was looking to continue to have some warmth/sun. South coasts feels a long way for 12 days, but am open to suggestions from those who have traveled to France in September. Many thanks.

Last September we were on Ile de Re. It was superb, can’t wait to return.

Dordogne was cold (well 22 degrees) & wet yesterday when we left.
I wouldn't book anything & just keep on going South until you find the sun.

We went to the Loire valley last September and the weather was awesome.
We're heading further south this time (Verdon Gorge and St. Tropez), wife doesn't like too much travelling but I reckon one stopover enroute should be enough.

Did many years of Caravanning in France and always just drove South until the weather was as required. only once got down as far as the Med.
French weather seems to be just as unpredictable as here now with 'Global warming'
You're mobile so take advantage of that factor and be prepared to move about.
You could use this site to get a weather update, others available

Vendee, Ile de Oleron. La Rochelle area, still warm up to October.
