French campsites

[Oggie]

anyone know of some good campsites in Lacanau area of France. Criteria is
Cheap
near beach
Quiet ish
Walking distance to bar, restaurant etc
Not wanting one with pool or clubhouse etc

Any ideas?

Hi,

Try this one. It's positioned on a lake but not far from the beach and is cheaper than the more popular beach side campsites in this area. I have not been to this site but have heard it was good and based on the reviews I think it will be ok ( we nearly opted for it but decided to go to Drome region instead ).

See also my other response regarding the Municipal sites where the prices are much cheaper but they sometimes don't have pools.
