Front door step courtesy lights

The plastic cover on my driver's door step light has been broken on several occasions and fixed with superglue and clipped back in. It's finally disintegrated beyond repair. Can I get a replacement cover from somewhere or do I need to buy the whole lamp unit?

Mine's a 57 plate. I think that's pre facelift. tia.

I think you have to replace the whole unit, I got a new one fitted a year ago, it was about £18 from the dealer.

Thanks for the info: £18 doesn't sound too bad. I didn't realise VW did anything for that sort of price . I've probably spent that much on superGlue.

Just purchased one . It cost £24 vat included
Would be real nice to be able to purchase just the plastic cover as i realised most are broken on my van

Is £24 the fitted price at VW or did you do it yourself?
If the latter, are there any tips.

It is the complete light and cover. Dead easy to fit, just clips in as does the cable harness.
