Hello ,
This is what I found in the German forum about the freezer.
Lots of members are unhappy with GC freezer . One member did some very interesting measurements and wrote the following text.
The refrigerator has only one cooling circuit, the compressor is controlled based on the temperature in the freezer compartment. This can be set in the range from -8 ° (level 1, night mode) to -17 ° (level 5).
The temperature in the drawer underneath "results" from falling cold and is largely determined by the outside temperature and the frequency with which the drawer is opened.
If so, the behavior of the refrigerator would probably be state of the art. It would of course be good if you could also control the temperature in the drawer without using the freezer compartment, then the battery would also be less stressed. With only one cooling circuit, however, independent temperature control of both zones (drawer / freezer compartment) is probably not technically possible.
One forum member insulated the freezer compartment a bit better (sealing) an put some thermal packs inside with positive effect.

We ordered our GC600 three weeks ago , so I can't experiment with the fridge on the moment
