My rear bumper has been hit and has come slightly unclipped on the passenger side. It also has a slight ding which local repairer can fix.

Complication is that I can't take the van to him. Don't ask why, it's all about not losing a parking space in a very busy tourist town where I live.

Is it easy to detach/reattach myself? I can then take it to him in my wife's car. The bumper has parking sensors fitted.

Best I can find is this video https://www.t6forum.com/threads/removing-the-rear-bumper-guide.10258/ which is helpful but does not actually show the process or how to refit.

ask the repairer how long he needs the van to fix it.
It may be more convenient and avoiding the work , complications and possible mistakes +damages, if you rent the cheapest car/trailer you can, and park it there while the van is out at the shop...
It may end up cheaper that a possible damage non knowing what you are doing..

Does this help DaveB

oops just seen the link in you original post!
fitting is the reverse of removal.
what do you need to know ?

edit: if you have the skills to take it off, you will be able to refit it in the reverse manner

It's not a hard process, just fiddly. Well within skills if you are handy with a screwdriver.
