Good service agent in East Sussex? (VW or not!?)

Hi everyone. New and deliriously happy owner of a 2015 T5 Bluemotion.
Does anyone know of a good VW garage around Uckfield / Tunbridge Wells / Lewes?
I was going to try Southern's in Tonbridge.

Do you guys have a view on whether it is really necessary to keep going to a VW garage?
We have a motorohome specialist nearby (AMC on the A22), would that be better or worse than a VW garage?

AMC have a good reputation and will have far more knowledge than VW when it comes to fixing habitation issues, as they are used to all van sizes. Would guess they can also carry out the mechanical side of things.

Otherwise any decent garage can carry out service items. For VW commercial - Eurovans Eastbourne.

Worth noting that all the bad reviews of SMG are for Cowfold. SMG Tonbridge have a good reputation .

For the record, I went with a local service centre (A&D) who did a fantastic job. I'll use AMC for any habitation stuff.

I bought my California Ocean from SMG Cowfold and they serviced it for the last 7 years, before I sold it last week. They had some customer issues a couple of years ago, now rectified, but they always did a professional job and I am happy to recommend them. I have now bought a Grand California from SMG.

I’ve had excellent service from Eurovans Eastbourne. Really can’t fault them. They’ve serviced the Big Blue Bus and undertaken warranty work for me (rear sticking heater control replacement, sink water pump replacement and got the rear washer working)

They always ring me the day before I’m due there to confirm my appointment and to advise me what commercial courtesy vehicle I’ll be getting. All work completed same day and they keep me updated too.
