Grand California Exploding sink cover.

We are on holiday in Austria and when cooking a meal last night the glass sink cover literally exploded.
Has anyone experienced this?
The sink and cooker glass plates are in two separate sections.
There seems to be no instructions about using the what appears to be a Dometic unit. There is a QR code on the gas ring glass cover directing us to a manual which shows the sink cover in the lowered position whilst cooking.
The GC 600 is 6 months old.
Has anyone experienced this and what was to outcome?

There are normally instructions on what diameter cooking pans to use. Too large a diameter pan then heat directed sideways .. We're you using too large a pan?

There is WG, they probably didn’t raise the sink lid before they started cooking.

Sorry to advise user error, always lift the sink lid before using the rings, whichever one.. they have also been known to explode in hot weather.

The OP said the Instructions showed someone using the Hob with the sink cover Down.
Personally I always lift any glass cover , no matter what the instructions say.

Always raise the sink cover when using the right hand ring/and if it is still hot from use. The maximum pan diameters are: left 160mm and right 220mm.
