Has anyone tried using a Group 3 booster seat in conjunction with neck support for a child between 1.25m and 1.35m.

Not sure about the seat, but don’t use a cushion on top of the booster; It can compress / slip out on impact causing the child to slip down in the seat as the belt locks. The seat belt could then end up across the child’s neck.

Dangerous with a cushion . Not designed or tested for safety using a cushion.

No, but keen to know about the neck support you have there. Need something similar for my kids. Do you have a link for it which you could share?

I’m sure Amarillo will confirm that the neck support comes with the VW integrated child seats that were available as an option for the 2nd row captains chairs.

These are not seen very often and are convertible from a standard seat into a child seat. Very clever.

I’ve just brought a t5.1 beach that had the two extra seats with the pop up child booster and and confirm the headrests are a part of that chair

The neck support comes with the integrated child seats 6 & 7 in the captain’s chairs. Due to the design around the seat belt hump to the right of the seats, it will only fit on the bench seat position nearest the sliding door.

We are planning to drive to southern Spain for Easter, where we have found a campsite with a water park which will be open. Seats 6 & 7 won’t be with us, and I’m wondering if we can dispense with one or both of our Group 2/3 seats in favour of Group 3 boosters. One child is 1.22m the other 1.33m.

Group 2 seats are required for children under 1.25m
Group 3 boosters are required for children under 1.35m

The boosters we have are plastic, which I think are unpleasant to sit on for long journeys, so yesterday I was looking at ways it might work.

But I think that for a long three stage drive to southern Spain (and back) we will stick to our Group 2/3 seats for at least 1 more year.

Fortunately, we have a way for the four of us to sleep overnight without using the bench seat as a bed, so the child seats don’t need to be removed. The boys sleep laterally on an extended multiflex 1.0m deep and 1.5m wide.
