Heading down to Greece via Albania in the summer

[CALI FATE]

Just planning our summer adventure down through the Balkans to Greece via Albania - we will then spend a week in a villa with the family before we meander back up via ?? - We would like to explore Albania on the trip and wonder if anyone has recent experience of the country - i have been doing a bit of google exploring and it looks fun, wild and undeveloped. Everyone says its a friendly and welcoming place. Cheers

We are driving north from Greece through Bulgaria, Romania and Hungary; arrival is via the Brindisi-Igoumenitsa ferry. We would have loved to visit Albania, but unfortunately the Pet Travel Scheme doesn't include Albania.
