Hello - again

Lovely canal boat you have there and having owned on myself over 20 years ago I have to say the aft galley is the best layout. Happy cruising
Thank you x. lovely to "meet" again. Yes, the reverse layout was a must, I could not do with steps that went at right angles. This way I can slide in when coming back from the pub :)

So sorry to hear of your loss.
Lovely looking canal boat and look forward to more of your superbly written articles. “Good Campsites with pubs next to canal moorings” hopefully quite a few options - I think I read of a nice one in Oxfordshire. Welcome back, may new adventures bring you great solace.

Thank you for such a lovely message xx. I can already recommend one... The Tudor arms, Slimbridge. On the sharpness canal, near the wildfowl centre, nice pub, expensive but nice campsite. It was the last campsite Jo and I ever stayed in, our cycle ride from Humber Bridge to Severn Bridge.

There have been a few Club meetings there. Last time we were there cycled to Gloucester Cathedral, but had forgotten to get the battery for my e-bike from the charger in the garage. I make doubly sure now that I’ve got the battery.

Are you going to move around the Canal systems or be based on one?

The whole lot if I can Paul, my first big trip, early next year, would be to take me from my home mooring at Pyrford, near Woking, to visit my Sister in law at Northwich, planning a couple of months for the round trip.

What Beach are you after Jen? New Multivan or T6.1?

Hello everyone, I'm new here .....:)

Well, sort of .... almost...

and I'm looking for a Cali, or possibly even a caddy Cali.

Yes, a few changes. I have become a widow. My Darling Jo, taken ill just as we completed the last of our big charity cycle rides last September, left me in December.

It left me having to reorganise my life. My grief has been unimaginable but life moves on. Last week I completed on the purchase of a narrowboat. A complete change of direction but it now means a full facility camper van is a bit superfluous to my lifestyle. However I do still have a need for an occasional overnight camper so looking, yet again, at the California range.

Bad pennies never go away for long
So sorry to hear about your loss, losing a partner is a moment in our lives we all dread, I do for sure as we get older. It is great to see you back however and wish you all the very best for the future.
