Hello everyone.

After years of reading various camper magazines and ogling other peoples pride and joys in envy, I've added the only thing that was missing in my VW camper collection..... A camper.

Alongside the collection of VW mugs, salt and Pepper shakers and egg cups sits now a 1991 2.4D California in white.

I am a real novice, and could do with a really good local California specialist to help me look after and maintain my Cali to a lovely high standard..... would anyone be able to recommend someone in the Bedfordshire / Hertfordshire area that can provide trustworthy advice and maintenance? does anyone have any experience with main dealers in the area?..... Thanks in advance!

The first trip I have planned is to the Gower Peninsula. Regular haunts for me will be Cornwall, Dorset and my dream trip wold be to the Norwegian Fjords during the long summer days.

Can't help really, I'm just down the road and have a similar van. But as it never goes wrong…

Actually, I use a mobile mechanic for mine, but I doubt he goes that far north (Watford based I think).

Enjoy your van! Gower is particularly nice, park up on Oxwich Bay beach, but get there early for the front seats

The Gower turned out to be one of the best holidays I've had... Absolutely stunning, and full of VW Buses... A great introduction to California ownership.

Found a really great garage in Beds. To look after my bus. The guys a Panel Kraft Arlesey were fabulous. Had a service done and got them to give the bus the once over to look for trouble. They tell me I've got a keeper, so I'm really pleased.

Right, I've bought a kite and I'm off up Dunstable Downs to act my shoe size.
