Looking to buy
Hello all,

I sadly don't yet have a cali, just window shopping (for now). They look really great but beyond my current budget sadly, still, some great ideas may be here to point me in the right direction of obtaining a campervan .

Thanks L

Welcome , beware ....before you know it you are sold and a Cali is bought;)

I wish! But I need a new kitchen more, I do, I do. Really want a campervan but need to aspire to a cali for now. Will get something though. I will not look at any brochures of new ones though, that would be torture. Eh? How old do they go back?

:)

Yes, lots of lovely places to visit round here for trips in a campervan. Rains a bit, so be good to keep a bit dry. I am inspired looking at the threads for the older, and in budget, Cali.

:)
Off to read your recommendation now. :thumb
Thank you

L

Would you be interested in a 2013 Cali SE (The one in my avatar), It's being traded in at the moment.:thumb

If I was going to buy a T4 I'd love to find a 4x4 (Syncro) Westie and then ruggedise it to the max for serious mountain warfare. All-terrain tyres, wading breathers, bull-bar with a tow-rope coiled round it etc etc.

Just the 11-year old in me talking, there...:happy

But you get a kitchen with the Cali; two birds with one stone! Job done. Welcome, by the way.

Buy the Cali and forget about the kitchen.
my wife got a new kitchen and I spent 9 months fitting it and the food didn't taste any different
all that work for nothing. "Dohh"

Ha ha aye! Food will taste the same for sure.

Really want a campervan.

We went yesterday to look at a Toyota granvia campervan as it was local and in budget. It looked very nice. I had planned on a cali though so wasn't expecting to like the Toyota quite so much. We haven't gone looking much, but this one would suit us pretty well.

Has anyone any thoughts on the granvia? it's 1996 registered, previously a people carrier.

Don't worry ... the longer you spend on this forum, the more acceptable spending silly amount of money becomes. It won't be long until you forget about the kitchen and decide to just buy a new one :D

Ha ha I shouldn't laugh, I have already thought about it.

I'm looking and getting weary, for a suitable campervan, I guess there's no rush. I can see the attraction of getting a new(ish) one. I'd have to be much richer though.

Hi all, we have now bought a vw campervan. Sadly not a cali as there were none anywhere near here. I looked hard but didn't want to wait too long as camping calls, we have small kids and they grow up fast. But very intrigued by this 1991 trident autosleeper, (pink floral seats and all). So, sadly not a cali, that will have to wait but someday "I'll get you my pretty" and I will own a cali. Till then I will wave happily to you all in my trident. (can also have my kitchen extension now too).

I will still admire cali's and I'm keeping my membership on this forum to keep up to date.

Hope to see you around in various nooks and crannies of our isles and probably europe.

Thank you so much for my warm welcome, made me want a cali even more..

Lorna

Good luck with your camper van, hope it delivers every thing you want from it. :thumb
