Does anyone have a photo of a Cali, side on view, with a full size road bike mounted on the VW bike rack ?

If so would you mind posting it or sending it to me as I need to see where the bike comes to in relation to the roof ?

I use mine with road bikes on and with the frames being bigger than Mtb it is a slight problem ...:-(
Fixing onto the frames I don't like doing and with frames being over sized and expensive if crushed So i fix to the seat posts ....this means that the rack will only be able to take 3 road bikes ,as you angle the bikes out onto the next wheel cages ,so not using the first wheel cage holder ...
If you get my drift ??? I may have a photo or I could sort one out

I understand your reluctance to clamp to the frame. I have an all carbon bike with ovalised tubes. Also my seat post is carbon but I guess I will have to use that.

My reason for wanting a side on photo is that I am planning on carrying a sea kayak and I want to see whether I am going to have problems with using the bike rack when carrying the kayak on the roof.

If you do have a photo it would be much appreciated.

This is mine with an Altera rack and 2 bikes.

Bikes are frame size 54 and a reasonable amount of seat post showing.
I would imagine the VW rack sits at a very similar height to the Altera one
