High top window seal

One of our high top windows is leaking :help

. I tried cleaning up the seal and window but the weather is still getting in. Has anyone replaced the seal on their windows or know the best place to get a replacement seal?

Try Gunzl in Germany, that's usually the first port of call for Westy parts.

Thanks Dan - I've had a hunt around and they don't seem to list a window seal for the high top on the site. I've fired off a message to them, fingers crossed.

Maybe one of the club or exclusive owners will be able to help, there's a few on here.

When you do find the part, might be worth adding it to the Useful Info thread, might be of use to other owners in the future.

gunzl couldn't supply a seal, going to cast the net a bit wider. For reference here's a picture of the seal in cross-section.

Try this company http://www.serial-kombi.com they list several parts for the high window under T4 California Westfalia

Thanks for the link Ron - had a browse around but couldn't find a high-top window seal on there. Found this seal on ebay, which from the dimensions looks like a good match...

Just ordered a couple of metres of that, fingers crossed it does the trick.

The first seal I bought was a bit on the large side, but had this one in a month now and no more leaking :thumb

Fitting the seal is just a case of pulling off the old one and pushing the new one on a bit at a time. The window catches can be adjusted back and forth a bit to help get a nice tight fit.
